My works are situated in the area of tension between art design and arts and crafts. The starting material is always clay or porcelain, whereby the focus is on the specific properties of the mass. The limits of the material are explored. For the lamps, for example, I work with the translucency of porcelain and for the jewellery, my main focus, the “white gold” is also used in an unconventional way. Repetition is of central importance. The constant repetition of work steps and forms leads to slight dissonances, to irregularities in structure, surface and colour. In the sequence, the pieces begin to live, to find their own form and to become something new.
