Andreas Hinder Keramik
The animal figures are freely built up from coarse fireclay stoneware. The body, which later burns red, is painted with a porcelain glaze when leather-hard or dry. The sometimes very thin application of transparent glaze produces matt to slightly shiny surfaces, sometimes reminiscent of stone. Figure and base are built up in one and form a unity. The base provides a calming frame for the lively, sometimes moving figures. The objects are mostly fired in a gas kiln, in a reducing atmosphere at approx. 1200 °C.
