Katharina Bertzbach

I have been making free-turned vessels from Limoges porcelain since the mid-1990s, and since the beginning of 2000 I have also been making figurative works as small independent sculptures or in combination with vessels. The figure becomes the knob of a jar and the jar the base of the figure. I glaze the air-dried vessel. For the decoration of the utensil, the floor vases, large bowls or candlesticks I paint on the raw glaze (faience) and then fire at 1280°C in a gas kiln.
All pieces are unique and dishwasher safe.

I am always happy to have visitors in the workshop! I do not have opening hours. Since I live and work under one roof, the interested visitor can just come on the off-chance and ring the bell or call beforehand to make sure I am there.
