Sebastian Scheid
In the spacious atmosphere of my workshop, I mainly create one-off pieces in porcelain and stoneware. The traces of processing are always visible, you can read every blow with the structured squared timber or every cut with the thin cutting wire. The exploration of the material is exciting for me, what happens to the clay when it is struck with the squared timber? What influence does the strength of the clay or the force of the blow have? The sculptural works are created in this field of tension. On the turntable, on the other hand, I make works that are mainly intended for everyday use. Come and see for yourself.
