I live and work in the ceramic town of Höhr-Grenzhausen in the Westerwald. The ceramic vessel is the fundamental theme of my work. Here I am particularly interested in seemingly contradictory aspects, such as the usability and high functionality as a utility object as well as the representation as a three-dimensional sculpture. All works are made of highly combustible Westerwald clay. The seemingly simple, yet exciting forms contrast with a lively surface characterised by an earthy character, melting out and the firing marks left by the fire and the artist’s own interpretation of the traditional Westerwald salt firing.

You are welcome to visit me in my spacious shared studio in a former ceramics factory. Mon to Fri from 10.00 to 13.00 and 14.00 to 18.00, Sat from 10.00 to 14.00 and also by appointment.
